A baby has come into the world. It is a time of celebration and joy. It is a time of promise and an opportunity for family and friends to welcome this new life.

It is also a time to respect the parents and to offer them support in their work of nurturing a future citizen of the world. Godparents, mentors or guardians are given the role of supporting the parents and enter into a very special relationship with the child. Grandparents may be honoured for the unique role they have to support the new parents and nurture their grandchild.

It is a time for family and friends to welcome a new and much loved member of their community.

I will help you devise a baby-naming ceremony to welcome this new person into our world.
